Tips for NFL Sundays in the DMV

Arrive before kickoff. Dedicated fan bars fill up fast, especially for rivalry games and primetime matchups. Give yourself 30-45 minutes before kickoff to secure a seat.

Check social media before you go. Many fan bars post game day specials, event details, and any changes to their watch schedule on Instagram and Facebook the week of. Deals and cover charges vary by game.

Pair with happy hour. Most NFL games kick off at 1 PM or 4:25 PM ET, which overlaps with or immediately follows happy hour windows. See our day-of-week happy hour guide for Sunday specials specifically.

Your team not listed? Check the college football bar guide. Many bars serve double duty for college and NFL fans from the same region. And let us know if you know of a confirmed fan bar we missed.
